Hello!
Before you venture further, let me tell you a few things about my less-than-perfect self. I’m not a decorating maven, nor am I a fitness queen. My house is small and cluttered and so is my body. We both could stand to shed more than a few unneeded pounds! I have two amazing children, an amazingly adorable grandson, and one amazing husband – they are beautifully imperfect and can drive me crazy at times (except my grandson – he is a delight). I drive them crazy far more often.
We have more than our share of dust and dog hair inside and dangerously leaning fences outside. This I owe to our menagerie of pets. Since starting this blog we lost a most prolific shedder, our beloved black lab Oliver. It happened in that awful year for the world — 2020. I miss him still. Our who-knows mix rescue, Abby, grieved terribly at the loss of her big brother and hasn’t been quite the same since. We did get a most wonderful addition to our family not long after. Abby needed the companionship and so did we. Let me introduce Kaia, a delightfully impish and love-without-conditions Pittie-Boxer mix rescue. We love her dearly and so does Abby:
Our little farm has been home to a number of horses and ponies, a couple of which were born right here in our barn. It’s also been a place of laughter, tears, and plenty of love. I am beyond grateful we were able to raise our children here and like to think they are also
.
I’ve had a lot of dreams and jobs over the years, but one thing I’ve always been is a writer — even when I wasn’t writing. Stories were always in my head and as a child they were my escape along with the books I inhaled. As an adult I do the actual thing after daydreams take shape in my brain. That’s when the fun begins!
I have no idea what’s going to spill from my keyboard onto this blog. I do know that I place every word in the hands of my saviour, Jesus Christ. No one understands and loves my crazy more than He does.
Welcome to my journey, friends. Grab your muck boots and buckets because it’s going to be a messy one. In the end and along the way, I hope it makes us all smile.
